Bone Grafting

Bone grafting is where the jawbone is built up to accommodate a dental implant or other restorative device. Bone grafting is a common procedure that is used frequently for dental implants and other periodontal procedures. It is alos used for ridge preservation after a tooth is removed. The graft can be harvested from the patient or be obtained from a bone bank. Often synthetic bone grafting material is used for ease of use and to avoid harvesting from the patient.
